Art Deco Jazz Age Bar

Art Deco bar is a 1930's English pop-up in a wide size. Burled walnut with ribbon mahogany bar service area. We have hand applied a super cool Jazz Age design in red, black and silver as an overlay to the piece with custom hardware on all doors. The custom overlay accentuates the beautiful original bookmatched burl walnut. Some of the overlay stain work still needs to be finalized.

Bar area features reverse painted striped mirrors on the drop down door and the bottom of the bar service area. There is a stylized reverse painted cocktail scene mirror on the back of the bar service area. Features original light rewired for American circuit, reproduction silverplate martini picks and original juicer. Bottom storage area is lined in ribbon mahogany and cedar with bottle clips on the inside doors and two shelves for storage. Dimensions are 36" wide x 15" deep x 43" tall. SOLD

Art Deco Bar 1

Art Deco bar of bookmatched and burled European walnut exterior on the top and fronts, with crown cut European walnut on the sides, an exotic ayan curl (a type of exotic mahogany) interior, and with cedar backs. This bar has the mechanism that moves outward when the drop down door is opened. It features it's original light, which will be re-wired for American circuit, that illuminates automatically when the door is opened. It has a very fun, stylized bar scene reverse painted mirror on the back of the bar service area with reverse painted striped mirrors on the bottom of the service area. A clear mirror is found on the drop down door. Dimensions are 42" wide x 15" deep x 43 1/4" tall. SOLD

Art Deco Bar 2

Art Deco bar is a very attractive cocktail cabinet made of a really beautiful bookmatched burl walnut on the main cabinet with an eye arresting quartersawn zebrawood found on the tambour doors.

The cabinet features a demi-lune half circle design. It includes it's original light in the top bar service area, which will be re-wired for American circuit and has an on/off button to turn it on. It also has a great stylized cocktail scene on the lower section of the back mirror of the bar service area. The glass shelf in the bar service area is a great gold striped reverse painted mirror. The bottom shelf of the bar service area is bookmatched and burled walnut that bookmatches all the way outside the bar service area to the cabinet's edges. There is a fun pullout mixing/service shelf that extends outward 6 3/4" and is made of the same gold striped reverse painted mirror as found on the glass shelf.

The bottom features two shelves for storage. Bottom shelf also bookmatches all the way outside the area to the edges and is very tall to accommodate large liquor bottles (bottom shelf is 17 3/4" tall). The middle shelf is made of an exotic ayan curl (which is an exotic mahogany). Cedar lines the back of the bottom. We could mirror the back of the bottom and replace the ayan curl shelf with plate glass and light the bottom to add further drama to the piece.

Dimensions of this cabinet are 43 1/2" wide x 56" tall x 13 3/4" deep at it's deepest. The pull out shelf is another 6 3/4" when extended. SOLD

Art Deco Bar 3

This Art Deco bar is an outstanding vintage English "fold open" bar. This design is where the top folds out and open to create a large curved serving area and where the front doors open outward to reveal multi-tiered interior shelves.

The dimensions are 33" wide (along the front and 23" wide along the rear) x 17" deep x 41 1/2" tall. The two top panels that fold out are each 17" wide and when extended provide a total serving area of approximately 67" in width along the front.

This example is made of a beautiful bookmatched and burled walnut exterior with the interior shelf and storage areas lined in a bookmatched walnut. The bar service top is a gorgeous and expensive quartersawn birdseye maple in lieu of the normal formica top that is seen on the majority of this style of cabinet. The tops flip open and rest on two door panels that fold out from the sides to support the tops. The top bar area has a curved see-through glass panel that looks down into the bar itself. There are two shelves along with a built-in liquor storage area on the bottom.

The bar comes with it's original light (re-wired for American circuit). Subject to availability a serving tray, two juicers, and martini picks may be available. The back of the bar has two sliding glass doors. The bar is finished on all sides and can be freestanding in the room. It is on casters it can be easily moved from room to room for bar service as needed.

Note - we have several of this "fold open" design available. Some are in burled walnut, some in straight grain walnut, some in mahogany. The bar serving surfaces are either formica (marbleized or faux birdseye maple)or actual quartersawn birdseye maple veneer. Check with us to see what designs are currently available.

Updated info: A bar of this exact design but in a very unusual and unique mahogany veneer has undergone a complete refinishing and is nearing completion. It is spectacular! Inquire today!

Art Deco Bar 7

Another great, unusual design found on this English Art Deco cocktail cabinet from the 1930's. Made of a gorgeous bookmatched and burled walnut with zebrawood trim on the exterior and mahogany on the interior.

If you are a fan of the fun, stylized reverse painted bar scenes found on mirrors in bar cabinets from this era, you'll LOVE this bar. It features reverse painted stylized bar scenes on the mirror in the top bar section. It also features reverse painted gold striped mirrors on the bottom of the top bar service area, on the two large sliding glass doors on the bottom and on a nice pull-out service shelf! All in excellent condition. Plus a reverse painted Art Deco Jazz design is found on the sliding glass doors on the top. Features original light with on/off switch in top bar service area. Two large shelves are found behind the doors on the bottom. Dimensions are 42" wide x 14 3/4" deep x 42" tall.

Art Deco Bar 8

English Art Deco cocktail cabinet that is a variation of the "fold open" bar design (Bar 3 above). This design has a bottom and a top section, each with it's own set of doors that open out. The top section is slightly smaller than the bottom section that it sets on. The top section has little wings that click shut to the sides that open out for the top serving panels to rest on (again like Bar 3 but this one's wings are smaller to reflect the top section's size).

The serving surface is a very pretty marbleized formica in excellent condition. This one has an original reverse painted striped mirror in the bar service area, has an original light (which will be rewired for American circuit) and martini picks. The exterior is a bookmatched and burled walnut with the top interior bar service area in a quilted blonde sycamore and the bottom section in a ribbon mahogany. The bottom section has liquor storage holders built in with a shelf that runs the length of the bar. This variation is also on casters, meaning it is a mobile cocktail center and can be moved from room to room as needed. It also features two sets of sliding glass doors on the back (one set for the top and one set for the bottom) that slide open allowing the bartender access to items inside.

The dimensions of the piece closed are 35 1/2" wide (bottom section) and 29" wide (top section). The top bar service area opens up to approximately 59" wide in a semi-circle design with a marbleized formica serving surface. The bar is 17" deep at it's deepest and is 43" tall. This style is finished on all sides and can freestand in the room, just like Bar 3.
